Why patients are referred here

Complex cases are not the exception. They're the practice.

When a smile needs more than a single filling or crown β€” when teeth are failing, worn, missing, or have defeated previous treatment β€” patients across Northeast Ohio are referred to Great Lakes Prosthodontics. Dr. Deliberato performs the full range of general dentistry, but his focus is the cases other offices send onward: full-mouth rehabilitation, implant-supported restorations, and reconstructions that demand a specialist's planning and a steady team behind it.

01

Full-Mouth Reconstruction

Rebuilding worn, broken, or failing dentition into a stable, comfortable, natural-looking whole β€” planned to last.

02

Implant Restorations

From single teeth to full-arch, fixed solutions β€” restored and engineered for fit, function, and longevity.

03

A Network of Specialists

Coordinated care with trusted oral surgeons, periodontists, endodontists, and orthodontists for the best outcome.

A different kind of specialist

What is a prosthodontist?

A prosthodontist is a dentist who has completed dental school and then three or more additional years of advanced, accredited training devoted entirely to restoring and replacing teeth. Where the word itself says it best β€” prostho means replacement and dontist means dealing with teeth β€” these are the recognized experts for anything that needs to be rebuilt in your mouth, from a single tooth to crowns, bridges, dentures, dental implants, full-arch reconstruction, and complex bite or TMJ concerns.

Your general dentist is the foundation of your everyday oral health, and many handle restorative work beautifully. A prosthodontist works alongside them β€” often by referral β€” when a case calls for the deepest level of training in the dynamics of a smile and the long-term preservation of a healthy mouth. That added expertise, paired with state-of-the-art technology and a coordinated team of specialists, is what allows us to take on the most demanding reconstructions with predictable, natural-looking results.

Meet the Team

Specialty care, much of it under one roof.

The hardest cases are rarely solved by one set of hands. Great Lakes Prosthodontics brings together a second prosthodontist and an in-house board-certified periodontist β€” and coordinates a wider network of trusted specialists across Northeast Ohio β€” so your care stays connected from diagnosis to final result.

Prosthodontist Β· Founder
Fixed Prosthodontics Removable Maxillofacial Implant Restoration Full-Arch

Dr. Anthony Deliberato has spent his career on the dentistry that demands the most β€” and earning the trust of the doctors who send those cases his way.

A 1984 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Dr. Deliberato completed a General Practice Residency at the Cleveland Veterans Administration before beginning his prosthodontics training at the Veterans Administration in Wilmington, Delaware. He earned his certificate in Fixed, Removable, and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics in 1988, and completed an externship at the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic in Pennsylvania.

In 1989 he joined Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry as an Associate Professor in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics, and within a year was appointed Director of Fixed Prosthodontics as well as Director of the Advanced General Dentistry Residency β€” shaping the next generation of clinicians. He moved into his current Westlake, Ohio practice in 2005, where he maintains a private practice specializing in fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics.

Today Dr. Deliberato lectures nationally and internationally and serves as a Key Opinion Leader for both Straumann and Zest Dental β€” teaching dentists and laboratory technicians on full-arch reconstruction, materials, and the clinical and laboratory procedures behind predictable results. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists and the International Team for Implantology (ITI).

Away from the operatory, Dr. Deliberato lives in Independence with his wife, Diane. Together they have five children and twelve grandchildren β€” a family that keeps the long days in perspective and the reasons for careful work close at hand.

Dr. Eric Guirguis is a board-certified periodontist who earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, his specialist periodontal training, and his Master of Science in Dental Sciences (MSD) at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He has practiced in the Cleveland area for more than 18 years.

Treatments & Services

Comprehensive dentistry, with a prosthodontist's depth.

Great Lakes Prosthodontics provides the full range of general and restorative dentistry. What sets the practice apart is what happens when a case is complicated β€” when planning, sequencing, and a specialist's judgment make the difference between a result that holds and one that doesn't.

Signature

Full-Mouth Reconstruction

Comprehensive rehabilitation of worn, collapsed, or failing dentition β€” restoring bite, function, and appearance through a carefully sequenced plan.

Fixed and removable solutions from single teeth to full-arch prostheses, restored for precise fit and long-term function. (Surgical placement is handled by trusted surgical partners.)

Crowns, Bridges & Veneers

General

Examinations, cleanings, fillings, and ongoing care β€” the routine dentistry that keeps complex work healthy over time.

TMJ & Occlusion / Bite Therapy

Diagnosis and management of bite-related problems, wear, and jaw discomfort as part of a stable, lasting reconstruction.

Patient Showcase

Real patients. Real transformations.

Every smile here belongs to a real person who walked through our doors β€” many of them facing years of compromised teeth, discomfort, or lost confidence. These are their journeys, planned and restored at Great Lakes Prosthodontics. Results vary by patient.

Technology & Digital Workflow

Old-school judgment. State-of-the-art execution.

A great restoration is equal parts diagnosis and craftsmanship. Great Lakes Prosthodontics pairs decades of clinical judgment with a fully digital workflow β€” and a close working relationship with one of the country's leading dental laboratories β€” so the plan you see is the result you get.

Digital Diagnosis & Planning

Intraoral scanning, 3D imaging, and digital smile design make the plan visible and predictable before treatment begins.

Guided Implant Restoration

Surgical guides and prosthetically-driven planning ensure implants are restored exactly where the final result needs them.

Integrated Laboratory Partnership

A direct, digital connection to a leading full-service lab means precision restorations and tight communication on every case.

Featured Technology

The TRIOS 5 intraoral scanner.

No goop, no gag, no uncomfortable impression trays. The practice uses the 3Shape TRIOS 5 β€” one of the most advanced wireless intraoral scanners available β€” to capture a precise digital model of your teeth and gums in minutes.

A small wand glides through your mouth and builds a full-color, highly accurate 3D model on screen in real time. That model becomes the foundation for everything that follows: planning your treatment, designing crowns and full-arch restorations, communicating with the laboratory, and showing you exactly what's possible β€” before any work begins.

Comfortable

Digital scanning replaces messy putty impressions entirely.

Fast

A full-arch scan takes only minutes, with results on screen instantly.

Precise

Micron-level accuracy means restorations that fit the first time.

Visual

See your own scan and understand the plan together, in real time.

Featured Technology

Cone Beam 3D Imaging (CBCT).

A traditional dental X-ray is a flat, two-dimensional picture. Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) goes further β€” capturing a full, three-dimensional view of your teeth, jaws, nerves, sinuses, and bone in a single quick scan. It lets the practice see the structures that matter for complex treatment, not just guess at them.

For implant and full-arch cases especially, that 3D view is the difference between planning around the anatomy and planning with it β€” measuring bone precisely, locating nerves and sinuses, and designing surgical guides so implants are placed exactly where the final restoration needs them.

True 3D View

See bone, nerves, and sinuses in three dimensions β€” not a flat X-ray.

Precise Planning

Accurate measurements drive implant placement and guide design.

Safer Surgery

Mapping nerves and anatomy in advance reduces surprises and risk.

Low Dose, Fast

A focused scan captures the detail needed in seconds.

For Referring Doctors

Your complex cases, in expert hands.

Great Lakes Prosthodontics is a referral-based prosthodontic practice. Dr. Deliberato focuses on the cases that demand specialty training β€” full-arch reconstruction, implant restoration, complex fixed and removable prosthodontics, and maxillofacial work β€” and partners with the dentists who refer them. The practice does not advertise to the public or compete for everyday general dentistry; it exists to support your office, treat the complexity, and return your patient to your care. Consultations are always welcome.
